God told me I’m to share part of my story so here goes. Real, raw, and exposed.
Remember you can get through anything and people have had FAR worse things happen than me.
I’m not seeking pity here, but maybe to help someone else going through things.
I grew up in a small town. Shy and barely dated. Moved to another state.
Met someone and got married.
I didn’t know my husband would turn out to be Jekyll-Hyde.
An abusive marriage that I got out of after 6 ½ years of way more than I could ever tell you or wish upon you.
Fired from my job of 13 years since they figured they could replace me with a minimum wage person.
Did community relations for hospice. Got tossed around from company to company after they got enough out of you and found their next shiny person.
I can’t tell you how many times I sat at a table with people in shock or despair when they got news that their loved ones are dying. I know God put me in that position to deepen my compassion and to deal with my own Mom’s illness and death later. I always sent out love to those families I met with and strove to give them some relief. Each hospice job took a toll on my health, especially being an empath.
After covid I thought F this! I’m worth more than that. I stood up for myself and got out of the industry for various reasons that I was contemplating doing yet again because I needed the money.
God led me to pack up what fit in my car and move back 1,500 miles to help out my Dad and be around family. I’m blessed to be getting back some of those years with them. I only wish Mom was still here but I know she’s always looking over us.
Now I get to work from my cell or laptop from anywhere.
Set my own hours.
Help people get or stay healthy!
I no longer only see families when it’s too late.
I don’t have anyone that thinks I’m less than I am!
